The Document Template feature is a powerful tool within IgniSign's suite of electronic signature solutions. It allows users to create custom templates for displaying data to signers or adding parameters to documents before they are signed. This feature is designed to streamline the process of preparing documents for signature, ensuring that all necessary information is presented clearly and effectively.

Getting Started​

To begin using the Document Template feature, navigate to the Document Template Studio integrated within IgniSign. Here, you can define your template using HTML(Handlebars) and CSS, tailoring the appearance and layout to meet your requirements.

Creating a Template​

  1. Access the Template Studio: From the main dashboard, select the Document Template Studio option.
  2. Define Your Template: Use HTML(Handlebars) for the structure and CSS for styling to create your template. For guidance on Handlebars syntax, visit Handlebars Documentation. You can provide example data in a JSON format that help you to view the real rendering of your template. You can also Provide a JSON Schema definition that will validate your Data when you will provide it.
  3. Preview Your Template: Utilize the preview feature to see how your template will look with actual data.

Implementing a Template​

Once your template is created, you can easily implement into IgniSign:

  1. Define a Signature Profile with a DATA_JSON a type of data to be signed. You will be able to select a template that will be used when you will create signature requests from this Profile.

  2. **Create Signature Request from this profile : Create a signature request from this profile, and provide the data you want to be signed as a document DATA_JSON. Your data will be used to generate a document that will be presented to the signers when they sign it.
