Retired identification methods — October 2026

IgniSign now issues SES and AES signatures only. Identification delegation (identification of signers performed by your organisation) is retired with it. The following IGNISIGN_ID_PROOFING_METHOD_REF values are no longer available: RA_NATURAL_AES, RA_NATURAL_QES, ORG_SSO_AES, ORG_SSO_QES.

  • Signer profiles that already contain one of these values keep working for existing signers; evidence already produced is unchanged.
  • Creating or updating a signer profile with one of these values returns 400 SIGNER_PROFILE_METHODS_NOT_AVAILABLE on POST /signer-profiles, PUT /signer-profiles/:id and PUT /signer-profiles/:id/check-update. Sending an existing profile back unchanged is rejected as well: replace the value with an available method (video, open banking or SSN) before saving.
  • Organisation SSO as an authentication method is not affected.

YOU_NEED_UNLOCK_ORG_DELEGATION_FOR_USE_THIS_ID_PROOFINGS is deprecated and is no longer returned. The availability check rejects those methods first.
